More particularly, the northern Levant, ie. the eastern Mediterranean coast from Antioch to Sinai. Three modern faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: some 53.3 % of the worlds believers) are commonly understood to regard these lands as sacred, a fact which is at the foundation of much of of the worlds history over the past 1380 years.
