May of 1999 and May of 2000 I conducted an informal survey for readers
to respond to regarding the color conventions I use here.

You will note that to change the color and the text size requires two nested <font> tags. Putting
the crown logo in the center requires three nested tags and explicitly calling out the size of the
image on the page.
Modern usage separates the information in one file and the formatting instructions in another. Among
other things this lets one totally change the look and feel of the site without touching the information.
The pages are responsive to the size of the screen, although no optimization for mobile has yet occurred.
Along the way I've written a generator that merges a model html file with separate information files,
which can be generated out of a database for ease of maintenance.
The total effort to move "What's New" from a line on the regindex.html page to a common left nav
button required editing two files, regenerating all the pages (about 10 seconds) and a minute to
post it up to the site.
